My Goal is: to become a Hundred Years Old.
How many people have ever thought about setting 100 years old as their goal? Let alone doing the things necessary to achieve this respectable age? Thinking about it, the figures in the Netherlands show that on average, people are growing to be 75 years old from witch they experience health problems for the last 17 years. However, my goal set is to be better, much better than average! The quality of life is what matters the most!

What do I have to do to become 100 years old?

Lets have a look around, and see what you can learn there? First I have to lead an active live, do some sports like cycling or walking so I wont get rusty. I’ve never smoked and the more I think about it, the less I understand why people who do smoke can sacrifice their long-term health for their short term ‘smoking benefits’? Or do they hope to become that rare granddad who became almost a hundred years old, while smoking. As a matter of fact, I personally don’t know anyone who achieved this! Living your life means, having a party now and then, in my case being a deejay, I drink some beer and a glass of wine but on average I drink no alcohol at all during the week. Looking after my weight is no problem now I’ve learned to balance my diet.

A positive attitude towards life is certainly a benefit.

If you start using some data in a table you can see some things and you can make them more clearly to everyone. I combined the data from the JANA Journal, who tested 89.747 Americans with the SpectraCell Intracellular Vitamin Analysis. On top of that image the percentage of people who died in the Netherlands (2004). The average age in the Netherlands was 75. To score sufficient with the functional antioxidant level you also need a 75 percentage. When you put these two exactly on top of each other this will show up.

Does old age come with poor health?
I don’t believe so. I see older people living an active life, staying independent. I use them as an example. What do I have to do to stay healthy, active and independent like them? By the way, a healthy body doesn’t need medication. A doctor, who I interviewed for my radio program told me recently; “Medicines are perfect for your body to remain sick without the symptoms”.My journey to discover good health.
From the moment I faced some problems my health back in the eighties, my journey started. I faced all kinds of contradictory health information in the media, from relatives, personal observations and even from my doctor. By filtering this information you find the answer over time and know what’s important and what’s not.

The shocking truth!
I find that you don’t read much about preventive health in newspapers and magazines. Most of the media find their hands tied because of the opposite interests of their advertisers. They are afraid to loose business. On one side Healthcare is a blessing, but on the other side a threat! I mean, if I had an accident they have great skills to put me back together but their ‘solutions’ with medication don’t appeal to me anymore, now that I know the facts. To state this more bluntly, I don’t trust them! I find that doctors know a lot about sickness but little about health. I’ve seen tests were doctors scored insufficiently on their own health. Given my aim to become a hundred years old it’s not wise to follow their recommendations. Why not? In my perception, living healthy, the first step should be a good and balanced feeding pattern. Does your doctor always starts with the question; “What do you drink and eat everyday to find out the possible basics of your health problems?” I even met a doctor who told me bluntly; “I’m not interested in diets”. I could not believe my ears. He wouldn’t even be my doctor if he were the last one on earth! How about your doctor? Do you know?

Saving money with a healthy lifestyle!
The availability of sufficient and varied foods has done a lot for the overall wellbeing and health. But how many people are taking all these nutritional rich natural foods in abundance? The Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) isn’t a great success over all these years. And I know that the RDA is only the basic and not an optimum health recommendation! That’s why people who live with higher standards are getting a discount from their health insurance. It’s always been this way and will stay so. A good example attacks followers!

Don’t you simply have to be lucky to get old?
I don’t think so. With my knowledge collected over the years I know for a fact: the nutritional fruits and vegetable quality has come down over the last fifty years and the recommendation to start using nutritional supplements was first giving way back in 1936!!! I knew the foods in the supermarket were lacking nutritional value. And lots of unnatural additives my body can’t cope with. After I read Paul Stitt his eBook; “Beating the Food Giants” I also know all of these facts too. His statement; There are a lot of products in the supermarket not wordy of the name food! Have you heard of the base and acid balance? Do you know the facts about white flour, refined sugar, aspartame, hydrogenated oils and lots more?75% are deficient!
Fact is that 75 percent of all people with a Western diet are lacking the minimum nutritional needs for their body. It means that their body simply can’t function the way it’s designed to. It does not get the right amount of essential fuels!

My plan is simple.
I try to avoid the dangers in the food chain. I don’t use margarine on my bread anymore for over ten years now. I don’t use any drinks with sugar or other sweeteners. I drink les coffee, more water, not so much meat and more fish, more vegetables, fruits and of course daily nutritional supplements. I have my blood checked regularly with SpectraCell so I know how my body is functioning at an optimum level with the right kind and sufficient ‘fuel’. This way I know for sure what I need to do, so I don’t gamble with my health!

Will vs. Desire.
There are many people who want to do this too, … but don’t. They keep on doing the things they know are bad for their long-term health. There are people who never even think about what can happen in the future and to try to avoid an unhealthy body. And there are people who like to follow my simple plan and also want to become a hundred years old. But a little search on Google didn’t show anyone who said so. So I did! Maybe that will motivate some people to join the top 10 club, The 10% healthiest club. If that’s your desire to, just copy my goal set!
