I don't get it, Junk food and medications, from ignorance to awareness!
I don't get it
Fact: most people in the Western world eat junk food and try to compensate their destructive lifestyle with medication. Medication that's been proven highly unsafe with only …. ONLY 11% proven to be beneficial all the time and 51% of the time a real gamble, meaning no scientific proof at all! And these are the figures with the use of one medicine only; if you combine two or more medicines it will make each and everyone a guinea pig.

Lets compare this with the car and aircraft industry.
There were approximately 806 million cars and light trucks on the road in 2007. Road traffic injuries represent the leading cause in worldwide injury-related deaths. Worldwide, an estimated 1.2 million people are killed in road crashes each year and as many as 50 million are injured.
The World report on road traffic injury prevention is the first major report being jointly issued by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Bank on this subject. It underscores their concern that unsafe road traffic systems are seriously harming global public health and development. It contends that the level of road traffic injury is unacceptable and that it is largely avoidable.
Modern cars have many safety systems installed, the roads are designed with safety in mind and most drivers wear their safety belts just in case something might go wrong!
Air transport has many risks: human factors, volcanic ash, ground damage, birds striking, fire, structural failure, engine failure, ice, snow, lightning and other weather conditions, flight control, electromagnetic interference, runway safety, criminal acts, and more.
The two biggest manufacturers, Airbus and Boeing, have placed a huge emphasis on the use of aviation safety equipment, and made safety a major selling point—realizing that a poor safety record in the aviation industry is a threat to corporate survival.
And with all those risk factors 2004 showed only 771 deaths worldwide, 2000 the highest figure 1582 and last year 2010 1115 deaths.
Compare this with 783.935 deaths in the US alone in 2001 (Book: Dead by Medicine)

"Harmful, unintended reactions to medicines that occur at doses normally used for treatment are called adverse drug reactions (ADRs). ADRs are among the leading causes of death in many countries.", and, "At least 60% of ADRs are preventable".
I DON'T GET IT
How come most people use foods which are proven to have harmful additives and medications that are a real gamble!
Ignorance is a state of being uninformed. (Lack of knowledge). The word "ignorant" is an adjective describing a person in the state of being unaware and is often used as an insult. "Ignoramus" is commonly used in the US, the UK, and Ireland as a name of someone who is overwhelmingly ignorant.
Ignorance can stifle learning, in that a person who falsely believes he or she is knowledgeable will not seek out clarification of his beliefs, but rather rely on his ignorant position. He or she may also reject valid but contrary information, neither realizing its importance nor understanding it.
What separates the ignorant from the aware?
Is what separates the ignorant from the aware the awareness of their own ignorance? "I know that I know nothing"
"Ignorance is bliss..…while awareness is torture?"
Is awareness the same as: "I'm responsible for my own actions?"
